About
The person behind the push
I am Daniel — a resident of Choa Chu Kang who writes down the thoughts that arrive between errands.
MindPush began as a private folder on my phone labelled "before they go." I was tired of noticing something interesting — a pattern in the lift lobby, a phrase overheard at the market, the way rain changes the colour of a corridor — and then forgetting it by dinner. The folder grew. Eventually I asked myself why I was hoarding these fragments if I never shared them.
I am not a journalist, a philosopher, or a lifestyle influencer. I work a regular office job and walk the same routes most people in my estate walk. That ordinariness is the point. Curiosity does not require travel or drama. Sometimes it only requires slowing down long enough to ask why a mynah bird returns to the same planter every morning, or why a slipper appears by Lift B as if placed there on purpose.
I live at Blk 205 Choa Chu Kang Central. The west of Singapore is home — the MRT hum, the market smells, the void decks where aunties gather after dusk. I write about this place because I know it in layers: the shortcuts, the seasonal shifts, the small rituals that repeat until you stop seeing them. Writing is how I see them again.
The tone here is deliberately quiet. I do not argue, preach, or chase trends. Each entry is a single thread pulled from a day — long enough to hold, short enough to finish with your morning coffee. If something resonates, I am glad. If not, the journal will still be here tomorrow with another small observation.
You can reach me through the contact page if you have a question, a correction, or your own observation from the neighbourhood. I read everything, though I may not reply to every note. The journal itself is the main conversation — one-sided by design, open by invitation.
